Should Elderly People Be Considered A Minority Research Paper

The debate whether or not elderly people should be considered a minority, I would say is very distressing. Initially a Minority in the US would be defined as an ethnic, religious, or other groups of people who may face prejudice and discrimination from the majority, as a result of their differences. Numerous people may consider the elderly falling in that category because they have a clear social identity based on age and they are more likely to face prejudice and discrimination. However, I do not because like us all, everyone gets to that stage of life when we become old in age and are titled as “the elderly”.
