Icarus would not listen to the advice, and warnings that Daedalus was trying to tell him. As a result of Icarus not listening to what Daedalus warned him of, he faced a major conflict. If Icarus would have listened to Daedalus then, he would have not faced the consequence of landing in the ocean and he would have been much better off if he had just listened to Daedalus the first time. He was being too risky and he was too comfortable with extremes whereas Daedalus is naturally more cautious and concerned.Naturally in the real world parents are most likely to be more cautious, and more uncomfortable with extremes where as children often times are more likely to make riskier choices and they are usually more comfortable with extremes.
