A rocket hit the ground and instead of exploding, gas instantly filled the air around him. In a matter of seconds, he lost his ability to breathe. He wasn’t able to scream or do anything, his eyes, as well as his chest, were burning like hell. He continuously pounded his chest in an attempt to force himself to breathe. He could hear the scream of his neighbour begging for help. Her children were dying, and she was vomiting non-stop. All of a sudden, he could see nothing but darkness and next he was placed with the dead bodies. The reality is evident. We can’t sit here and do nothing.
Refugees should be allowed in the UK because they are ordinary and helpless people like me but are in unsafe circumstances. They have no other option but to flee their home in fear of their lives because of war, persecution or violence. These developing countries have fewer resources than us and are still capable to take care of the refugees which I believe is a moral duty. The borders are becoming less welcoming and harder to cross day by day. As a result, countless people including children must stay in a warzone-witnessing their families get cruelly murdered. Wouldn’t you want to move somewhere where you can’t hear bombs or the screams of children who have been completely isolated? Wouldn’t you want your children to have a better future or not get sexually assaulted on daily
