The great white sharks do need to be protected to keep them from becoming extinct. Humans are cruel to most animals, shark’s deaths are caused from nets, baiting, sport fishing and shark finning. Shark finning is where they catch the shark, cut off their fins and toss them back into the ocean. To survive shark’s need to move through the water, so the oxygen can get into their gills. If sharks have no fins they will die painfully and slowly from either fish eating them or some sharks can drown (Mor, 2016). This doesn’t seem fair to the creatures who are only trying to live, I think we as humans are destroying everything. Furthermore, when sharks see humans, they think we are fish or their other prey. When they have a taste, sharks immediately spit us out because we are not what they thought. I believe humans are killing more sharks, than they are killing us!
