It’s so unfair! Students being allowed to show their full potential through grades is important. ACT tests are unfair and should not be required to get into a college. Some students struggle with standardized testing or test anxiety. Also, not every student shows their full potential on just one test. Colleges and people who make these decisions should look more into these things. Students should be treated equally especially when being admitted into a college, which will determine their future.
A numerous amount people struggle with standardized testing therefore, ACT tests should not be essential for most colleges. It is unfair to those who have difficulty in these situations. Many people have issues with learning disabilities and not everyone reads and writes at the same level. Colleges may be using the ACT to discriminate. Test anxiety and other matters like this make it very burdensome for many people. This means that the test does not make allowances for differences, whether those differences are cultural, or academic. There is no such thing as a typical student. Everybody is an individual and whether or not there admitted to a college should be a more individualized process. It would help colleges to select students they want if they look more closely at other measures.Things such as personality ,perseverance, grit ,and determination cannot be measured by a standardized academic test.Perhaps colleges and universities would have an easier time retaining students if they looked more closely at these individualized dimensions of student
