Now onto the negative sides points. Our first speaker Claudia has already stated that Hogwarts is a school in which provides incompetent education. She also stated that attending Hogwarts would mean that students will lose contact with the outside world, being part of a boarding and secretive school.
Today, as heard from the first speaker, I’ll be talking to you about how Hogwarts puts you at a higher risk of danger than any other wizarding or muggle schools. My second point will be that students at Hogwarts will be detached from the “muggle” society and the consequences which come with this.
So firstly, as stated before Hogwarts has a much higher risk rate and higher mortality rate than any other school in the world. One main reason is its location. It is surrounded by a forest full of dangerous creatures and a tree that could literally kill you if you come within its branches’ radius. The dangers of the Forbidden Forest can be seen through Harry’s detention as he was forced to go for punishment. Basically, Harry experiences a near-death situation.
Although his near death situation was caused by Voldemort whom we all know doesn’t exist in the present time anymore, this is not to say that Hogwarts in the present time isn’t going to be infiltrated once again and in fact, because of the war, it may have even increased and as we know in our study of history that history often repeats itself just like WW1 and WWII.
Also, the Forbidden Forest is still a part of Hogwarts and still contains the same species of creatures as this was designed to hide Hogwarts School. A second dangerous aspect of Hogwarts are the classes that they offer
