Suddenly the alarms went off and the city of Silent Hill turned into its burned and ruined self. Rose and the cop began to run into a room as they saw an enormous red pyramid head butcher appear and pieces of debris flying in the air. They safely shut the door and took deep breathes to relax. Unexpectedly, the butcher’s knife piercethrough the door and bugs amassed in. The blade swung from side to side, while the two women dodged its blade. Suddenly the blade and the bugs stopped moving and slowly withdrew from the room. The noises stopped and Silent Hill turned back into its normal self. Both women opened the door and walked out, but this was only the beginning to their nightmare …show more content…
For instance, in Silent Hill, the mother of a young girl, named Alyssa, ventures into Silent Hill, West Virginia to find her daughter. Once she arrives, she realizes a lady, named Dahlia, has a daughter who identical to Alyssa. Alyssa’s mom soon found out that once she and Alyssa were entrapped in Silent Hill that nightmare had soon begun. They would have to free Alyssa’s soul in order to leave Silent Hill, except this wasn’t the case either. Once they were in Silent Hill, they would always be there because they crossed over into another world. In the Nightmare on Elm Street, Freddy Krueger haunts and kills people in their dreams. This only began because he once was a maintenance man at a school. The faculty and parents of the school thought that he was raping the young children so the parents took matters into their own hands and killed him. His haunting and murdering people in their dreams began. Along with the plot of a horror movie, there should be suspense. Suspense is the way to surprise the audience. Once the audience is immersed in the movie, it is hard to see a huge killing pyramid guy appear behind the actors and actresses. Another way suspense helps a horror movie to be scary is by leaving the audience hanging, as to what happens to the actors. As an example, Silent Hill, ends with Alyssa and her mom being trapped there forever; the audience is left wondering what happens to Alyssa and her
