similarities and differences

Similarities and Differences Nowadays, people depend more on technologies. Almost everyone has at least one hardware and software. How do people use those technologies and how do they think? Thoughts are different. I read the article “ Hell Is Other iPods” by Caspar Melville and “Someone to Watch Over Me” by Theodora Stites. I found some similarities and differences of those two articles and I would like to share my experience which relates to those two articles. First of all, both “ Hell Is Other iPods” and “ Someone to Watch Over Me” have three main similarities. The first one is both articles are about technology. In Caspar Melville’s “ Hell Is Other iPods. ” he writes about iPods which are the very popular technology nowadays. Similarly, in Theodora Stites’s “ Someone to Watch Over Me,” she talks about social networks which are also related to technology. The second similarity is both authors think the virtual world makes people live in their own world. Melville points out that a lot of people have an iPod and use it whenever they want to listen to their own music. She talks about Andrea Kozek who nicknamed her iPod “My Precious” listening to the iPod whenever she needs to block out the rest of the world. In the like way, Stites shows that she belongs to a lot of online continuities and always keeps track on either phone and computer. Stites explain to us how she use Dodgeball, Facebook, and many other online dating websites. The third one is both articles have a number of supporting ideas. Like Melville, Stites writes many examples to support her article. On the other hand, there also some differences between “ Hell Is Other iPods” and “ Someone to Watch Over Me.” To start with the content of both articles, Melville writes about hardware which is the actual thing, such as the iPod, made by materials.
