Anne Frank and Nadja Halilbegovich were very different people in very different times. Throughout the four paragraphs I will explain why I think that is true. To begin, Anne Frank lived during the reign of Hitler and was a targeted group in the Jewish genocide that took place between 1938 and 1945. Nadja Halilbegovich was a Bosnian girl living in the siege of Sarajevo, which took place in the early 1990s.
In the diary selection from the book it is shown that Anne remains an optimist even through enormous strife. Her optimism and faith in humanity is best summed up in her famous quote, “In spite of everything, I still believe people
