Expressionism is the name of the art style of artists who, with their work, express their own emotions to produce some form of art; this art then also produces an emotional response from within its viewers. There are many names of great Expressionist artists, Munch, Schmidt-Rottluff and Marc are just a few that with their art works made significant impacts on the Expressionist era; Whether it is for their individual works or for their contributions to collaborative groups. Individually The Scream, Self-Portrait with Monocle and Die grossen blauen Pferde (The Large Blue Horses) are all extremely interesting, thought producing and emotionally produced pieces of art that will forever be significant products of the Expressionist era. Whilst Die Brucke (the Bridge) and Der Blaue Reiter (The Blue Rider) will forever be remembered as the only two major collaborative groups of the Expressionist
