Jackson Pollock Research Paper

The expressionist artist whose work I admire the most is artist, Jackson Pollock. He is an outstanding artist, one of the most famous if not the most famous abstract expressionist of his time. Jackson Pollock was born on the 28th of January, in Cody, Wyoming. Pollock’s childhood was a hard one because his family was always moving, his dad was an alcoholic and he was the youngest of all four of his brothers. He discovered his passion for art when he moved to Los Angeles, California, there he attended the “Manual Arts High School” (famouspeople.com). He was later kicked out from there but his passion for art still stayed with him. He moved away from his family to move in with his brother, Charles in New York, there he began to practice and perfect his work. In October 1945 he married a fellow painter named Lee Krasner. She was the inspiration to him and his reason to work harder. She also help him with a problem he had, most think it was a fault of his father, Pollock had a drinking problem which his wife helped him snap out of at least for the time being. He could not handle the fame, his ego was too great for him to handle.
