Unlike Judaism, Islam has a few different beliefs, one of the bigger ones being The 5 Pillars. The first pillar is The professional Faith It says that “There is no God but God and Muhammad is his prophet.” The second one is daily prayers, meaning that you need to pray every day. The giving of the alms is the next pillar, Alms-Giving means that you should share your wealth with the needy. The fourth pillar is Fasting during Ramadan, Ramadan is the 9th month
in the Islamic calendar and during this month you cannot eat for a month. The final pillar is the Pilgrimage to Mecca, anyone who can afford to go to Mecca must make a pilgrimage there during the 12th month of the Islamic calendar.
Judaism is the oldest monotheistic religion in the world. One of Judaism beliefs is the ten commandments. Like the 5 pillars they have rules on what you should and should not do. Judaism also follows the rules of the Torah. The Torah is considered Yahweh's law/ book of law.
Although Judaism and Islam have differences in their beliefs they are still connected. An example of that is both religions believe in heaven and hell. They believe that after death they are sent to a peaceful place, but Islam calls heaven paradise. Another difference but similarity would be that they both go on pilgrimages. But, unlike Judaism, Islamic pilgrimage are necessary.
In conclusion Judaism and Islam are both well know religions. Judaism is a monotheistic religion that believes in god. Islam is also a monotheistic religion but it believes in Allah. Both Islam and Judaism believe that they will go to a place called heaven, or paradise in Islam, based on how they followed their gods beliefs. And that’s how to compare and contrast Islam and Judaism.
