The fourth day of this year’s intercampus is still a battle for supremacy. Each team from the four campuses of the university has nothing in mind but to annihilate their opponents and be declared as the mightiest of all.
The changeable weather condition never succeeded in hampering the energy that engulfed each player in their desire to overpower their rivals in each event played.
One of the highlight of the 4th day on the sports festivities was this year’s quest for the beauty and brain who will represent the university in the forth coming Regional sports competition in January 2012.
The master of ceremony in the search is Prof. Mauro Lucido, a Faculty member of the LSPU-SPCC. The program commenced as scheduled. The singing of the National Anthem was led by Mrs. Leslie T. Salazar followed by the invocation led by Mrs. Paulette M. Medel. Vice President for External Affairs gave his welcome remarks reiterating that the sports event is being held to showcase the students’ abilites in sports, sports that are instrumental for the students to have a sound mind and body. He also put weight on the words uttered that the festivities must be enjoyed by everyone who are equipped with exceptional talents in sports.
Prof. Teresita W. Ballesteros, Ed. D., Sports Director of LSPU System presented the criteria for judging and the adjudicators were introduced by Prof. Mary Grace Gallardo.
The contest proper for search for Mr. and Miss LSPU 2012 was highlighted by different portions. The aspirants were presented to the mesmerized audiences in their school uniform attire, sportswear, and swim wear. The search served as an opportune time for the aspirants to display their talents in front of the feasting eyes of the audience. In the last appearance on the catwalk, the candidates were wearing the Filipiana and Barong Tagalog costume.
