INTRODUCTION
THE SINGING MASTER
Communication is a core element to society’s foundation. It defined as the interchange of thoughts, feelings and emotions. It enhances and supports new ideas which results to the new flow of concepts, ideas and visions. All objectives of communication are to make man live as a human being, with better clothing, food, shelter, health and education. This cannot be achieved without man's interaction with each other.
The advancement of technology has helped to advance the ways in which people communicate with each other. It transformed communication by making it more and more pervasive. Many believe that contribution technology has made to modern life improve the quality of life in different aspects such as in medicine, education and entertainment.
The technology has in recent years increased the possibility of media exposure in our daily lives. As a result, many adolescents use media in various forms such as cable television, video and DVD, electronic games, the Internet, the personal computer, etc. According to a study made by Sonia Livingstone (2001), “the media today operate as pervasive, yet often imperceptible, elements in the everyday cultures of children and young people”. Moreover, many of the youth-oriented media genres are predominantly in English and previous studies show that media can have a positive effect on students who study English as a second language.
