Everyone has to make a decision in individual or in group. You have a communication and discussion when you work in a group. Each person has their different idea and perspective. If everyone wants to give their perspective in the same time, the confusion will happen. In individual, when you face a problem and your thinking take too many different ways in one time, you will have a confusion as well. The confusion blocks the good thinking and it is hard to go to the conclusion or find the solution. Six thinking hats is the method that help everyone organize their thought step by step and help the group focus on the same type of thinking at the same time. Using six thinking hats in individual, for example, I wanted to buy a brand new car last year. First, I compared the suitable price with my budget – white hat. After that, the thought I will not find the car I like within my budget came out from my feeling – red hat, and might be I cannot afford the monthly insurance payment – black hat. Then I had another idea that maybe I should buy a second hand car – green hat. Finally, I decided to buy a brand new car because I thought that the second hand car is broken easier than a brand new car – black hat, and it is safety for me to drive a brand new car – yellow hat. I will not get a new car if I am stuck in one thought. In between every thought you have to find the conclusion and move on to others thought – blue hat. So, the blue hat can use between other hats to move on your thinking and go to the final conclusion. From this case, I think everyone can use the different hat in the same time or different time in a situation, and you do not have to wear the hat by order. You can wear some hat many times, such as blue hat. In additional, the hat does not indicate your behavior. For example, I think in negative way when I wear the black hat. It does not mean I am a negative thinking person. The hat can be changed depends on the situation.
