I. Introduction: Fun in the sun…could it be deadly? The answer is yes, if we do not take care of our skin! As teenagers, we tend to be lazy and reckless and we don’t think about the consequences of not taking care of our skin. We don’t really think about the fact that skipping out on the sunscreen could potentially lead to skin cancer in the long run. You may think that you are too young to be worrying about skin cancer, but it is never too early to take care of yourself now in order to stay healthy in the future. So today, you will learn about skin cancer, what you can do in order to prevent it, and why you should protect yourself from it. II. So, what is skin cancer? In basic terms skin cancer, is the uncontrolled growth of abnormal skin cells. The good thing about skin cancer though, it is very easy to identify and can be eradicated easily if found in its early stages. Now you may be wondering what you need to look out for and what are some major causes of skin cancer.
