This semester in Psychology class I am creating a smart goal which involves measuring specific achievable and relevant goals throughout this semester. At first I had no idea of what I wanted to do for my smart goal but as I started thinking about I was able to narrow it down. I chose to do my smart goal on organization and test anxiety which I have been struggling with for a while. To help me to achieve my smart goal I will develop a clearly composed schedule of all my classes I am taking this semester in order with dates and time. Then I will list choose two days out of the week and make those days my days to organize my notebook and backpack. As I progress toward my smart goal I think I will feel nervous about staying on top of my goal and keeping myself in balance. The importance of my smart goal is to help me to stay better organized and work on positive ways that I can reduce my anxiety during test taking. I think my smart goal will help me with managing my stress when taking test and also become more organized in the future. I have always struggled with staying organized and managing my time from elementary school throughout high school. As a child in elementary school, I always had a backpack full of unnecessary papers that I did not really need. When it was time to actually turn in important homework assignments I would always find myself fumbling through a notebook full papers. As I continued moving up a grade each year I began to notice the workload become increasingly rigorous each year, but my organizational skills began to decrease. It was very difficult for me to manage my time and stay organized in school. Sometimes I would try to organize my notebook or even throw away unwanted items and papers that I did not need. My plan to get organized only lasted for a week as I slipped right back into my normal
