Social Class Affecting Our Social Status

Our social status affects us and we affect our social status. We are each born into a social class, and we tend to like to stay there. It takes work and stress to move up the economic ladder. Most of us do not like either of those. How we change our social position, how it changes us, and how we react to it, all form an intricate balance in our lives. We should not, however, concentrate too much on it. So what actually alters our social classes? One thing that propels it is schooling. A quality education often determines who goes how far. Providence, or luck, as some people put it, also plays a large role. The family we are born and raised in, the chances we get, even the people we meet, all help influence what we become. If we let social class determine who we interact with, we succumb to false cultural barriers. We must resist the temptation to let our social class form our identity. We prefer to stand still in our social status because it takes work to move. Especially in the US, however, we can move. We take for granted this chance that many other people in other countries would do anything for. The most important thing though, is how we use our social position. We should be good stewards of the wealth that God has given us and use it responsibly. I believe that social classes are an inevitable part of life. As far as I know, every culture in the world has them. Our social status changes, though not always by our actions. We must take care though, so that our social class does not change us in negative ways. Our response to our social class reflects who our master is.
