The social determinants are conditions in which people are born, work, grow, live and age and the wider set of systems and forces shaping the conditions of daily living. The systems and forces include the economic systems and policies, social norms, development agendas, political systems and social policies. SDH is responsible for coordinating World Health Organization support to countries to take actions on social determinants of health to address the health inequalities.SDH works to support, strengthen and guide the capacities of other nations to implement, develop, evaluate and monitor initiatives to promote health equity through addressing the social determinant of health (Marmot et al,. 2012). People with higher education tend to be more health than those with little education. There are diverse pathways by which education leads to better health. The level of education is correlated with social determinants of health such as employment security, the level of income and working conditions. Education assists people to move up the social, economic ladder and present a better access to other economic and societal factors.
Higher education makes it easier to enact larger changes in the employment market. Better educated citizens have more benefits and opportunities from new training opportunities than when the situation of employment changes. The education facilities enable feasibility of civic engagement and activities in the political arena. In other words, people get a better understanding of the world they are in. Finally, education increases the overall understanding and literacy of how one can promote own health through action. With higher education, people get sophisticated skills to evaluate how behaviors they adopt might harm or benefit their health. They achieve greater resources and ability to attain a healthier lifestyle (Braveman & Gottlieb, 2014).
