I was born in the North (Indiana) and lived there for 10 years. The past 7 years I have lived in the South. In addition to growing up around two very different types of people my family and I are christians. So I have grown up around a certain way of life based on our beliefs. I have never gone with out food but I have never had lived with so much I have every thing I want. I was always somewhere in-between. We have enough to provide and to do fun things every once in awhile. My social location is about as close to average American as you can get. It has definitely change in the last year because recently I took a mission trip. We stayed in the underprivileged part and it opened my eyes to see how much I take for granted. The have to have everything imported so everything cost more than it does in America. They take life on with a smile and one tiny thing like a scratch on my car can make me mad. They have caving in roofs and they are smiling and laughing. I see my social location changing in 5 years because I would have just finished my bachelors degree in Marine Biology. I would have started on my master degree. I hope by then I would have taken some classes abroad. So I would have live around a different culture and gain an appreciation for their culture. It would also make me more cultural
