Ratifying the constitution will give the president more power but it will take away freedom from state government and they will have no say in law making. So if the states vote for the ratification of the constitution the central government will be way stronger than the state government. Giving all the power to the president will be a huge step against the democratic form of government.
Another positive effect of ratifying the constitution is easy law making as there will be less clash of thoughts among different state governments. But giving the entire law making power in hands of the president will be like a monarchy where the king will have all the decision making power. So ratifying the constitution will not be a fare decision for the state governments. They will lose all the power of law making policies and will be like a puppet for the president controlled by his policies of central government.
In conclusion ratifying the constitution is not a fare decision in favor of the democratic form of government. So I strongly believe that the thirteen states should not vote for the ratification of the constitution. It will be the murder of democracy and will be totally against the rights of the states and will minimize or almost eliminate their participation in the law making.
