Social Work Case Study

The student social worker is Carmen McGee. The clients were Shante, Krystal, Mariah and Jessica. The date of the role play is April 22, 2016. The issue occurring in the group concludes four girls dealing with severe depression because they were molested as young children. The purpose of the interview is for the girl’s to receive healing from their pass wounds of bondage.
In addition to this, the Ms. McGhee requested the girls draw pictures of themselves before the abuse occurred. She also requested the girl’s to use colors expressing their feelings in group. The social worker expressed her concerns aggressively, but the girl’s followed through with the assignments given. She asked the girl’s to describe the meaning of each picture and color.
Ms. McGee constantly asked the girl’s questions regarding their past. Three of the four girls were emotional and cried hysterically and one girl started getting angry. Her facial expression changed frequently, while talking. The social worker needed more guidance to assist each individual, but her usefulness was fair.
Moreover, Shante was a talented dancer her love for hip-hop, ballet and tap shined through every performance. Krystal loved experimenting with different foods in the kitchen and cooked for her family almost every night. Mariah enjoyed sports, but track was her favorite and Jessica appreciates fashion. She use to create new styles for herself, friends and family.
Further, somethings that may be helpful for the girls to get involved in the local community. Shante might enjoy signing up for dance class or see if any dance performances are in town. Krystal possibly will start cooking for her family again. Mariah can join a marathon and enjoy running in the morning for her own personal time. Jessica can start inventing new styles for her family by going shopping once a week. Each client desires to be the young children they once knew before the abuse transpired. They aspire to be happy and healthy existing in a world without guilt and
