The human body is over 60% water and proper hydration is essential to a healthy mind and body. Water can be more than just “tap” water it can come from other sources in nature the coconut. Coconut water is the liquid from an actual coconut and it can be used to hydrate the body either by drinking it or intravenously. It is rich in vitamins and nutrients much in comparison to human blood. The minerals and antioxidants are essential for growth and disease prevention. It is also approved by the USFDA for reducing the risk of high blood pressure and stroke.
Water is responsible for many functions other than hydration in the body, it helps the joints and tissues stay moist so they will not be sore or tight, sometimes a simple muscle ache can be relieved by drinking more water or electrolytes. Water helps protect areas that have thin membranes such as nose, eyes and mouth while lubricating other areas. Water is also essential for proper digestive health, such as constipation or diarrhea which is completely different but the amount of water needed to aid in feeling better from either is the same. Water moves the food through the digestive system and ensures that no toxins build up due to inadequate hydration. Water intake can also be linked to disease prevention because it does help clear the body and replenish the blood supply with fresh vitamins, minerals and nutrients.
