Socialization of Caregivers
The socialization process of caregivers is very important. Some clients of caregivers reach out to his or her caregiver for support. Going through my own personal experiences as a caregiver doing Home Health Aide, I have seen and felt many emotional issues. For example, my clients use to come to me and talk about her problems. The reason she was comfortable around me is that I made her laugh when she was sad. I use to talk to her when hardly anybody had time. I was truly there for her when she was in need. Being a caregiver is very helpful to clients because some of them (clients) do not have anyone that are in their life unless they religious and pray to their God. Being a caregiver, there initial instinct is to put the needs of your spouse, parent, child, sibling, relative or friend before them and to provide their clients with the best possible care. caregiver process is mainly to provider their clients with the same exact care and respect, as they would do their selves. Socialization is one of the components of good self-care and may be the most important element of positive and productive care giving. Engaging in social activities promotes well-being and helps clients cope in times of crisis. One of the most satisfying times to socialize is during a hearty meal.
For example, my client would be to be happy when she would sit down with me and eat. We will talk about anything that came to our mind. It was the most enjoyable time because the warmth of the meal sharing with her, replenishes our energy so that we have more to give. Some of else believe that if our stamina is not restored, we may find our self physically and/or mentally exhausted. Meaning instead of us talking and joking around at the table we would just be looking around and not saying anything. I know that laughing and making jokes can be powerful tools because it helps us go through difficult times. At times, my client would rely on her religious beliefs because she believes that is the most spiritual connection she has when facing difficult
challenges. I would say that these reform effects could be effective if every caregiver take care of his or her patient as if it was their selves. With caregivers talking and joking with their client, it is helpful when that person is in need for laughter. Other reform efforts that I think can be instituted with caregivers is doing puzzles or games with each other, playing cards, and if they can get out take a walk or drive to help them clear their mind with you. I think these reform efforts are another good socialization in a caregiver. As you can see that, the socialization process of caregiver plays a major role in health care. Socializing helps, you and the client get along with each other and it shows him or her that you care. Some clients does not have anybody to talk to or just have fun with so that is why it is good for a caregiver to provide them with all the care they need so they will not feel depressed, sad, or suicidal. Good reform efforts help the client have trust in you.
