For example, using activities and lessons when talking to young adults about drug abuse is the perfect way to keep them interested. As for adults, providing them with facts and videos is an easy way to get the information to them. The way that you decide to provide information on drug abuse depends on the type of people that you are trying to reach out to. The structional functionalist perspective views drug abuse as a bad issue because it prevents somebody from being himself or herself. How it prevents somebody from being themselves is because once the abuser stops using the drug it upsets the body and brain. Also, one can use drugs as a way to cope with stress and problems causing them to be addicted and have a possible change in behavior. The major affect of drugs is that it can trigger violence in someone that has not yet been seen.
Drug abuse is a severe mental illness that should not be taken lightly. Anyone who does abuse drugs should seek help right away before the addiction completely changes your life. There are many ways to prevent drug abuse as I have stated before. If you see someone who uses drugs more then the norm you should talk to them and get help. Personally, I feel that all drugs can harm everyone in a different way depending on the person’s normal
