Technology has been one, if not the greatest, discoveries of mankind. It gave us electronic gadgets and appliances that we use to make our lives easier. Every passing decade from 20th century until today, technology is becoming more advanced that we humans depend so much on these to an extent that we cannot live without them. But to really appreciate this great discovery, we have to imagine a world without technology. The question we should ask ourselves is that what would our lives be like without technology? One way to do this is to look back at the lives of humans before the invention of such technologies. The humans that lived long before us had to survive using the things that surrounded them, things they did not make. They hunted animals to eat, had no permanent shelter and lived as if they were animals too. We would definitely not be civilized and act and think like we are now. If we were to survive in that world, it’s either hunt or be hunted. One good side to this way of living is that life will not be that complicated as to what it is today. Life will be simple and humans will be more physically active. Having been given the chance to live in a world full of technological advancements, I certainly would not want to experience being detached to technology because I grew up with it and depended much of my activities using technology. I consider myself very fortunate to have lived in our world today.
