To continue with sustainable growth, energy needs are increasing day by day throughout the world. At the same time fossil fuels are depleting and lots of environmental issues are coming into picture for addition of any more fossil fuel based power plants. So many countries in the world including Asia Pacific region have placed emphasis on the development of renewable sources of energy in order to reduce fossil fuel consumption and decrease pollution. In the quest for a greener planet and renewable energy sources, solar energy is one of the most widely used and abundant in nature.
The sun is readily available resource, and the energy from the sun can be captured and can be used for many applications. One of the applications is the use of this energy from the Sun for our energy needs. The solar energy from the Sun can be converted into Electrical energy. The device that does this work of converting Solar energy to Electrical energy is the PV cell. This PV cell converts available light energy into DC. This DC power available from a Solar Panel (PV cells are arranged in series parallel combination for higher wattage) cannot be used directly as most of our house hold equipments and machines runs on AC power. To utilize the solar generated dc power an equipment is required to convert this DC to AC. Thus a solar inverter is used to convert the energy from the Sun to Electrical energy it is hence known as Solar Inverter.
A Solar Inverter converts the variable direct current (DC) output of a photovoltaic(PV) solar panel into a utility frequency alternating current (AC) that can be fed into a commercial electrical grid or used by a local, off-grid electrical network. It is a critical component in a photovoltaic system, allowing the use of ordinary commercial appliances. Solar inverters have special functions adapted for use with photovoltaic arrays, including maximum power point tracking.
Thus increasing Solar Energy demand paved way to the development of this Solar
