My Role at the SUFC academy is facility supervisor; I’m responsible for the “leisure” side of the organization such as the maintenance of the building, catering, security rota management for facility staff, and match day co-ordination
From the match day co-ordination, our main problem is our car park, as it is not substantial enough in size for the volume of traffic we get every Saturday and Sunday mornings
Parents resort to parking anywhere they can if it means getting their child to training on time, this can result in cars blocking each other in, the road outside getting blocked so busses on the bus route cannot get through, and in case of emergency we struggle with ambulance access regularly.
We received many complaints from our own staff, the Bus Company, and local residents The bus companies sent written reports from drivers who are getting upheld, this issue was impacting on their route times so this information was crucial.
We also received official written complaints from local residents who can barely drive out of their homes without having a problem.
