Song Analysis Of The Song Georgia On My Mind
“Georgia on my mind” is a classical, jazz record that was a hit that shot to number one on the billboards, but the song also was so famous that the state of Georgia had adopted the song as their own. In the 1960s, the civil rights movement was going on and many people were protesting because of how the floor was only for whites-only and they had one section for blacks and he refused to play at his event in Augusta, Georgia. When Ray Charles decided to not perform, the stadium placed a fine on him. He paid the fine and he never performed in the part of Georgia. The song was so popular that many artists tried to duplicate the singer sound and passion in the song. The singer Willie Nelson also covered this song with his award-winning voice and was one of the few artists to actually be successful in the cover of the song. In Ray Charles’s rendition, he has a strong, soulful voice over a powerful orchestra. Ray Charles has back up from a piano, saxophone, drums, and etc. The instruments heightens Ray Charles’s emotions in his song to actually make it sound that he is depress or could be something come from the heart. Willie Nelson’s version is country and his voice is more relaxed and calm. Willie Nelson has a harmonica, drums, and an acoustic guitar …show more content…
Since that he was born there having arms reached out to him and seeing tenderly smiles that he felt a since of security and comfort from being from Georgia. While, his music career has him traveling all around America and visiting all these new places and being around new people that he really has no time to go back home and relax and maybe see some of his family and loved-ones. Willie Nelson’s life has really no ties to Georgia, but I also believe he made his version to honor the death of Ray

The song “Thinkin ‘Bout You” by Frank Ocean pertains deeply to how he feels about Jane Gallagher. For an example, Holden persistently calls Jane his friend, but never tells the reader how he really feels about her. He says, “...We'd get into a goddam movie or something, and right away we'd start holding hands, and we wouldn't quit till the movie was over. And without changing the position or making a big deal out of it. You never even worried, with Jane, whether your hand was sweaty or not. All you knew was, you were happy. You really were.” Salinger 80). Holden’s feelings for Jane shine through from his personality in his little confession in his mind. Holden does not particularly enjoy the thought of sex, he cares for companionship. In addition,…

There isn’t a wide range of pitch in either versions of this song. During the live version though, the two guitarists do join the lead singer to help with vocals, but only as imitation. This song is very minor scale, but the guitar solo at the end of the live version does turn the song into minor scale for thirty seconds (which is honestly my favorite part).…

It had some sort of echo effect with a slight harshness to it. Besides, King’s guitar playing, the pianist kept to the normal “scat” sound and the trumpeter and saxophonist were mainly in charge of the harmonies since King did not have any back up singers. Actually, one of the best harmonies between the two was in “There Must Be A Better World Somewhere” with the trumpet being just a key higher than the saxophone. Other than that, the two would play the same notes. Two songs that stood out from the others, was his rendition of “Love Me Tender” which was more of a ballad than a blues song and “Better Not Look Down”. “Love Me Tender” had a slow tempo and due to its style was one of the softest played songs which also had a different feel compared to unhappiness with life. It felt more like a song about asking whoever to love King right. In a way it could be added to blues due to its feeling of sadness. It depends. On the other hand “Better Not Look Down” had a very upbeat feel, a crescendo after the third verse(third story), and a great bass solo. During the concert, one could tell that King really got into his…

The vocal is not shouted and it is not whispered. Big Bill uses a normal daily tone, but at the same time he makes his voice more dramatic, like in (sec). Personally I think, that his voice fits to the guitar, because the guitar is very light and clean, and also plays major chords. This song can be danced with, but it can also be listened while relaxing. I guess that this makes this song unique.…

Animal Experimentation plays an important role in today’s medical and pharmaceutical advances, but many question the morality of such a use of animal life. Whether you argue that testing different products and drugs on animals is necessary or not, this has become an integral part of developing products. From that Tylenol you pop to get rid of your headache, to that perfect shade of pink lip gloss, animal testing is used in order to produce the simplest household items. Today, in the United States, it is federal law that requires all pharmaceuticals, food additives, cosmetics, and garden chemicals to undergo a series of tests, including animal testing, before being available to general public. It is estimated between fifty and a hundred million vertebrate animals worldwide are being used fro animal experiments. While many believe that animal experimentation is a crucial part of research and safety, others argue the morality of this issue. Another point of view some share is a mixture of both opposing views, where one believes that animal experimentation should only be condoned in the field of medical research but not for vanity reasons.…

Lieder ohne Worte (Song without Words) is written by the Romantic composer Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy. It is a collection of forty-eight short lyrical piano pieces of markedly song-like character that he wrote at various periods of his life between 1809 and 1847. They are well suited to the study of musical form because of their artistic value. Op. 19b, No. 1 Andante con moto in E major was written in 1830 and is the first in the collection. The piece is in the key of E major and modulates from E to B to G major.…

This essays is similar to Kelly Clarkson’s song “Invincible”. The song is about someone growing, breaking free, and becoming a stronger, independent individual. I am eternally grateful for everything music and singing has done for me, which is why I compared these items to one another.…
