Songs Figurative Language

In this era of increasing emphasis on art， more and more people start learning about some arts, one of the famous art activity is to sing a song. For me, it’s not like a hobby, it’s more like a part of my life. So I choose one of my favorite song to express myself.in the song, there are many figurative languages, for example, there have repetition, simile and rhyme. first of all, there are many repetitions in this song, repetition means the act of repeating, or doing, saying, or writing something again; repeated action, performance, production, or presentation. in my opinion, if you repeat some words over and over, it can show your strong feeling, you want to tell others or yourself something. For example, in my song, it repeat ‘When I'm gone…’ the girl is telling her friend she will leave, she is emphasizing the truth that she will leave, she believes her friends will miss her so much.
simile refer to the practice of drawing parallels or comparisons between two unrelated and dissimilar things, people, beings, places and concepts. By using similes, a greater degree of meaning and understanding is attached to an otherwise simple sentence. For me, simile is very important in my life, I always use simile in my daily life and in my essay. simile is a very good way to express something visually. For example, if you are express something you cannot touch or see, you can use simile to easily tell others what is it look like .In my song the girl said ‘.And I sure would like some sweet company’ it means she really want go with the person she loves, she thinks if she can go with her lover ,the traveling would be more sweet than she travel
