South Central Los Angeles Research Paper

Do you imagine yourself living in a city where there are car pursuits, graffiti, and homicides? South Central Los Angeles, California is an oversize city and it is an example of disturbia. There is a mysterious dark side within the city. Most people describe South Central Los Angeles as adjacency environment because of the un-inforced, broken down educational system that is brought upon inner city students. The unexpected bullying, the numerous fights, and gang related issues, are the cause of the scene. The location took place in a small elementary school, a third grade boy whom name was Jerry was walking back to class until these two fifth grade boys drag Jerry to the restrooms and beat him for no reason. As a result, Jerry was yelling, “Help me, please!” the staffs didn't do anything to stop the situation. Jerry looked up as if the staffs would help him, but all the staff members did was witness the harassment of Jerry: Furthermore , Jerry walked out of the restrooms with a bloody nose, broken arm, and a purple eye. Another example I came across was a young girl named Lily, who was being bullied because of her size. She was holding so much anger, it caused her to feel insecure. A couple days later, a girl named Samantha started rumors at school saying “ Lily, is overweight and dumb !” Lily watched the people laugh at her and she felt as if she was the only one who could save herself from her surroundings. In contrast , those rumors were not true , but the rumors kept spreading throughout the day and the coming days. As the days went by more horrifying experiences were happening to Lily. By another student starting false rumors about Lily made her not want to go to school anymore and made her feel insecure about her weight which led her to do the worse of all things. Lily ended her life by overdosing on medication
