First of all, money is an issue when discussing space exploration. “In the budget unveiled on Monday, almost 17$ billion will fly into NASA’s coffers with around $5.3 billion dedicated to space exploration” (Source E). A lot of money is involved but some may argue that they get no thrill form the Bush plan to put Americans on Mars (Source H). But we must ask ourselves how will space exploration benefit me and/or my family? The money that is spent for people walking/discovering planets goes to manufacturing , research and development, benefits, doctors, teachers, students, scientists and corporations and business both large and small (Source A). Either way the money that could’ve been spent exploring space dispenses throughout the economy, why not spend the money that will benefit us all?
Again, how will space exploration benefit me and/or my family? Another issue to think about is, let’s put it this way, space is our model for all nations. All countries need to bring solutions as to their problems that help the world not just their country. So, it seems that India, Russia, China, and Japan don’t seem to get along with the U.S., but these countries know that space exploration builds wealth for their nation, solves problems and enhances life for their people right here on Earth (Source A). Exploring space brings all countries together, no wars or bickering, sounds like space by show us the way to live together in peace. The issue of world peace shouldn’t be something to ‘think about’ it’s definitely a no brainer.
What are other issues that should be discussed having to do with space exploration? It’s not just about what learn from outer space and us. Exploring space and taking the time and money is definitely not about how to be a better steward of Earth because we have already done enough damage in
