reasons and there are many different examples of all three space crafts. A rocket
is a one time use craft that is powered by gases being forced out of a small hole
very fast causing the rocket to fly.Space shuttles are multiple use crafts that are
propelled into space by rockets that are attached to the shuttle and then the
shuttle moves around in space under its own power. Space stations are crafts that
stay suspended in outer space. Three common types of space crafts are rockets,
space shuttles, and pace stations.

There has been many rockets in the past. Apollo was a
program of rockets from NASA, Apollo 11 was a very popular rocket that made it
to the moon and carried the first men to land on the moon which were

Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins. Pegasus and Delta 2 were both
some examples of rockets created by NASA (The Lyons Press, 64, 79, 99, 102).

Shuttles have replaced rockets and are used for almost all space exploration
(Wagner,160). Space Shuttles have flown over 100 missions and have become safe
and operational. Because rockets are not reusable they use shuttles instead
because they are. There are tons of examples of space shuttles throughout history.
A couple examples of space shuttles are the Atlantis, the Discovery, the
Endeavour, the Columbia which exploded upon reentry killing its seven crew
members, and the Challenger which exploded shortly after takeoff because of a
bad seal in one of the lines. The craft Enterprise was a prototype for a space
shuttle even though it never made it to space (The Lyons Press, 108, 123, 127,
