“Dare to read aloud?” These words made absolutely no sense to me when I first read the back of this book. I would soon learn later on in the book that a man named ‘Mo’ had an almost unknown power of speech… I had judged the book by the back, I had no idea what to expect when I first started reading this book. I had misjudged the book, I thought this book was going to be bland and dry, but I judged the book by the first 30 pages.
I have really never read chapter books that much other than now. I’m excited for books that I will choose later in the year. Mainly because this book was super good. I have never expected so much from any book, especially since I have never taken the time to actually read. This story takes place in the early 2000s and where it took place is untold.

She was not expecting them, but understood that it was important. The plan was to hide the mysterious book ‘inkheart’ at her huge library. Elinor or Eli (She goes by that a little bit during the book) had a huge passion for collecting and reading books. She has literal tons of books, some that are extremely rare. Mo had planned to stash the book at Elinor’s and stay there for a while. Dustfinger was a ‘fire-eater’ and a circus worker. He had wanted to put on a show for Meggie, so he did. But when he did, Capricorns men had broken into Elinor’s house to take inkheart and they ended up kidnapping Mo in the action. Dustfinger had went after them in an attempt to stop them after they had drove away. A day or so later Dustfinger had came back with no luck. Supposedly Mo had switched a different book with the inkheart. Which at the time Capricorn and his men had not known, but this had scared Elinor and Meggie. This had given Meggie thoughts of running away and trying to find her father. At the time they had no idea it was Capricorns men, other than Mo himself and
