Bennet Omalu’s movie “Concussion” as it really shined alight on the damage NFL players do to themselves playing the game on a major stage in a well produced retelling. I really enjoyed Dave Zirin’s article “High Price of Concussions”, as it went into detail about not only the effects of concussions on NFL stars, but also the effect on peewee and high school players(5). A good book was “Traumatic Brain Injury”, which goes very into detail about how an injury to the brain that is not fully healed before being reintroduced into contact could result in a TBI. Now my last source is a less scientific one and more of a practical guide to treating an injury. “Managing Sports Injuries”, Christopher Norris is a book made to teach medical students how to treat certain sports injuries in the moment, such as strains, concussions, and broken
