St.Longinus is different than other saints because he was not always a good person. He was a roman centurion that helped crucify jesus and speared him in the side. After he did this Jesus's blood got in his eye and cured his very bad eyesight. He than later went on and became a monk and was killed for his beliefs. Longinus is important to the catholic church because he crucified Jesus and then changed into a better man. He set an extraordinary example for me and my catholic community. He is important to me because because he showed that me can recover from our mistakes in life. He also showed me to believe in what I am doing no matter what.I find it amazing that he practice what the man he killed taught and he died for it. I find it most interesting that when St.Longinus was killed his blood went into the governor's eyes and it fixed his poor eyesight which also happened to
