In simple terms, this means that the best players can do quite a lot in the game in just 60 seconds of play, which is pretty insane.
Number Twelve: It's Revolutionary
Starcraft, which came out in 1998, was revolutionary for the time. Before this game existed, there weren't really any real-time strategy games that worked in quite the advanced way that Starcraft had. Ever since, games used similar models that would not have existed if it weren't for the game.
Number Eleven: Cloaked Unit Visibility Changes
Starcraft II, in comparison to Starcraft I, isn't that different, but there are some changes that are things not every player would notice. One thing that is different is the fact that overlords could see cloaked units in the first game, but not the second one, which is interesting. It definitely makes it harder in this sense.
Number Ten: Abandoned Ship Ideas Are In-Game
Starcraft II made a lot of visible changes from the first game, one of them being different ship prototypes. The models which didn't make the cut can be seen throughout the game in the form of ships which physically look abandoned, which is pretty amusing.
