On the 21st day of August, 1959 hawaii was officially admitted as the 50th state. Till this day we continue to celebrate this special holiday. many people still believe that we shouldn't celebrate it. I believe that they wouldn’t have the same rights because we would have limited rights set by the monarchy. Those who have hawaiian and were born and raised here would have a small fraction of a say of what goes on and those who were born and raised her but have no hawaiian wouldn’t have a say at all. Its the same thing as having foreigners come to the islands, taking over the queen and setting all these different rules that are a custom to them and their needs. Therefore I would like us to continue to celebrate our statehood day because of what we gained in our government because we celebrate having a vote in our nation. It also gives us a
