Statement of Purpose: Please describe in English in approximately 500 words, what motivates you to study Cross-Cultural and Sustainable Business Management at the graduate level, what attracted you to this program, and what, from your own academic and/or professional experience, you can bring to the program.
With developing globalization of business, it is critical to business success that employees have the ability to effectively communicate with one another across cultural barriers. Cross-cultural understanding and tolerance by individuals serves to illuminate misapprehensions that could harm the health of an organization. As someone who recognizes the impact of globalization on the business world and the advantages that diversity has to offer, I am confident that pursuing a masters in cross-cultural and sustainable business management is an important step towards becoming an efficient international leader who seeks to gain insight on global markets through intercultural training.
Renowned for its diverse student population, the American University of Paris offers a program that teaches its students the importance of cultural diversity in business by immersing them in such an environment. The program does not offer a hypothetical context of the various challenges accompanied by cultural diversification but an actualization of such predicaments which forces its students to apply their knowledge to everyday situations. I am a strong proponent of this method as growing up, I had the great fortune of attending international institutions which exposed me to numerous cultures and nationalities, promoting a broadminded spirit of multicultural interests and acceptance. I received an education pertaining to the real world of global communications, international opportunity and cultural diversity. Frequenting such establishments opened my eyes to a much broader world and encouraged me to learn about different societies.
