I have always had a firm belief that a person’s upbringing has a major contribution in shaping goals and ambition for their future, while working towards self-improvement by learning from new experiences and those around us. The path I wish to walk on does not end at just being a good software engineer but rather a distinguished one in the industry. In order to achieve this long term goal, I need the level of education, guidance and opportunities that a master’s degree can provide me.

During my four year undergraduate coursework I got an even deeper understanding of the object oriented programming approach as I learnt Core Java and C, laying down a strong foundation for my goal towards computer science. Artificial intelligence, design and analysis of algorithms, computer networks, data structures and computer graphics were few other areas of study which further stimulated my interest in computer science and helped me as I worked towards my final year project “Intranet Mailing System”— designed to provide a communication channel inside an organization between different clients on the network. I had also completed a banking project “ATM” as a part of my summer training in Hewlett-Packard training center; it provided the user basic functionalities of logging in and out of their account and creation of new user with unique account number as well as transfer, deposit and withdrawal of funds, it was designed in Java along with MySQL. Upon graduation from my university, I was employed as an Associate Software Engineer by Accenture, a leading brand in technology services. In my current job I was actively involved in development of “Bhoomi”— an application providing transparency and better services in land records management to the citizens of Karnataka by transforming the existing Bhoomi application into a brand new and futuristic total land management system. And “IDB CAF”—A Charity Aid Foundation application which enables retail users to manage their donations to validated NGOs. Throughout my stay at Accenture I learned to be a better decision maker and be more flexible, as it is an ever changing environment.
