In this argument Stephen King talks about how people’s appetite changes for roller coasters by stating “And horror movies, like roller coasters, have always been the special province of the you; by the time one turns 40 or 50, one’s appetite for double twists or 360-degree loops may be considerably depleted.” (401) Looking how this was phrase brings out the significance of not showing fear. That being and adult means someone is not a little kid anymore and that they can stand up and show no fear as they are an adult. Having this sense of pleasure turns into this horror story into a fun event.
