Also, being autistic means that the person is going to have problems with getting used to environmental changes or even a routine change. This concept is related to the theory of mind that analysis the mental abilities of a person, along with his beliefs, desires and knowledge. At the same time, Mr. Wiltshire has a condition called Savant Syndrome which contributed to his success along with autism. Being diagnosed with Savant Syndrome means that the right hemisphere in the person’s brain is dominant because of high testosterone levels. In other cases, a normal person has a left hemisphere dominance where the person’s sense are completely fine meanwhile, all savants have mental problems that’s why the brain tries to compensate. Mr. Wiltshire is diagnosed with Savant Syndrome and Autism which describes the case of 50% of savants. Stephen Wiltshire was able to use these two mental disorders to his benefits. For an example, when he couldn’t communicate through words, he used drawings which made him special. Also, being able to concur a small part of autism and he was able to speak made him even more special. On addition, being a savant helped him start career. The person is able to remember sounds, objects and even images after a brief exposure to them. The concept is related to the memory of an individual. People with Photographic imagery can remember an unlimited amount of information with accuracy which a normal person can’t do. We can differ people with normal memory and Eidetic imagery through different aspects. It’s known that the brain of individuals with normal memory recall eliminates certain aspects who are considered as not important. Meanwhile, most of the people with Photographic imagery suffer from Hyperthymesia which means that the brain have difficulties distinguishing what’s important and what’s not.
