“Crash’’ is a movie that brings out several stereotypes. The main characters are all different races. There are Blacks, Whites, Persians, Mexicans, and Asians. The entire movie shows several aspects of causes and effects. The car crashes, robberies, and shootings, bring the characters together. By the end of the movie, all of the characters reveal their prejudices. This movie also shows how much tension there is between races and how distant we are from each other as human beings. We tend to forget that we are all human beings and we need to treat people fairly regardless of race.

His wife Jean is a racist towards all races except her own. In the beginning of the movie, they are victims of a robbery. Anthony and Peter are two black friends who are always arguing about stereotypes throughout the movie. They both saw Jean grab a hold of Rick’s arm and it caused Anthony to get frustrated with the fact that she assumed they were the typical black guys who will mug them. If she did not show that she was scared, none of this would have happened. He reacted by getting angry and carjacking the couple. The carjacking caused her to be racist throughout the movie. Later that night, the locks on the doors are getting changed by Daniel who is Hispanic just like their housekeeper. Jean is very stereotypical because of Daniel’s appearance. She overreacted about the lock situation. She demands to her husband that the locks be changed in the morning because she is fearful that Daniel is going to break in. Later on in the movie, Jean slips and tumbles down the stairs. She calls her husband and her friend and neither of them can come take care of her in bed. The housekeeper who is Hispanic takes care of her and she tells her how good of a friend she is. Jean must now feel bad for all the things she has said about other
