We are called stupid, bullies, jocks, and people who are most likely take steroids to help them succeed in their sport. Yes I am talking about the athletes. Many people call athletes these things behind their backs, because that's the way world sees these, bulky and buff athletes. We all use stereotypes all the time without knowing it. We do things we think are right but in reality they are wrong. We have met the enemy of equality, and the enemy is us.

Here are a few examples of these of these labels given to groups of people. 1.) African Americans are good at basketball, therefore most of the NBA is composed of African Americans. This is not true because not all African Americans play basketball, some prefer other sports. There are many different types of nationalities that play basketball not just Afro-Americans. 2.) All athletes have to be muscular or bulky to play sports. You don’t need to be muscular to play sports, if you watch a sport, like football, everybody doesn’t have the same body build. There a variety of people playing every sport and every single one of them has a different body build. 3.) Only rednecks watch Nascar. If you would have never heard of this stereotypes you would probably think it's true, but it’s not. Many different ethnicities watch Nascar and enjoy it, not only rednecks. 5.) Europeans only play soccer well. This is not true because everybody in the world plays soccer and enjoy it. Soccer is a worldwide sport.
