Stop Lying Jack Monologue
“Stop lying Jack.” Then there was a long pause. A pause so long any normal person would have suffocated in the tension. Jack coughed. “And then the house exploded. It was wild.”
The next moment of silence was even more excruciating than the first. The blanket of silence no longer pressed down on the people in the room, but crushed them completely. It's a miracle they were able to breath. “What do you get from this Jack, hmmm? Do you get off on this? Does lying make you happy, Jack? Does it?” Jack shrugged his shoulders all the way to his ears, turned his hips and walked away, sashaying to the beat of a song nobody knew and nobody else heard.
She sat there in silence. Arms and legs heavy with defeat. How do you win with someone like Jack. You

I was on my way to our date when all of a sudden this man was thrown at me from out of a black SUV. It was probably a Cherokee or an explorer. I don’t know. It’s not pertinent. Anyway, I was on my way to our date when all of a sudden this man is thrown right out the side of an SUV and lands on top of me. It was crazy. I immediately pick up the gun he has on his waist. Did I tell you he was armed? Well he was. And I just start shooting. I don’t even think first. I grab the gun, move the guy and start firing rounds at the Challenger it was insane. The biggest rush I ever experienced. Well. . . except for the time when I was in the war. Did I tell you about my time in …show more content…
Anything. But all he would do is stare at the blonde waitress grinning uncontrollably and covering her face. Eventually the silence was cut off when Jack flashed his sparkling smile and rushed over to the blonde.
“Hey. I’m Jack. Would you like to hear about my time in Afghanistan.”
All she could do was watch. She didn’t have the confidence to confront them and even if she did, Jack would just make her look stupid and irrational.
“I just wanted to tell her a story” he would say “I can’t even talk to other women?” Everyone would stop to stare at the barbaric petite brown haired lady screaming at the calm and collected fellow in the burgundy suit. C’mon how many people could look good in a burgundy suit? They would immediately side with him as it is human nature to side with the attractive person.
Suddenly she could no longer hold herself steady. Her knees had buckled beneath her and she found it hard to breathe.
“Stop lying, Jack.”
Jack turned around and stared at her, sitting on her knees on the resteraunts black carpet. The cheap material scratched her shin, but she didn't care. Jack turned back toward the waitress, coughed and continued. “And then the house exploded. It was

His shaky hands fixed three locks across the door that jarred into their familiar cradles. He dragged his chair through the cracked grooves in the floorboards and collapsed into it with a sigh. The paperwork on his desk was minimal. It was the nightmare garden he tended to every night once the children were dreaming, and his wife curled against her own skin, embraced by icy cotton sheets. He was out getting a raft boat just in case anything was to happen because in the past, there were situations that happened, and he wasn’t prepared. He didn’t want to tell Vivian because it was only one big enough for one person. Finally, Jack is back at the resort and everyone is around the table with theirs ears wide open waiting for him to speak. He only says “Last year was a success, let’s make it happen again this year. Meeting adjourned.” Later that day the Millers arrived early, but they paid, and they had their own separate place to stay. The Millers were close friends of Jack’s, so he always had a special suite set up for them. The Millers were wealthy and attended the same country club as Jack. A few hours go by and there was a call for rain on the news, but no one really paid it any mind.…

The four guys walk upstairs to Danny’s room. The door creaks open to a mid-sized room with blue walls and a full-sized bed decorated like a normal teens bed. The window across from the door is wide and was open. You can look straight out the window across the close by street to a broken down house. The guys step in one at a time, as if they were scared of something, Danny behind them. The door closes behind the guys. Sunlight was coming in through the window and the gold rays on the bed are gleaming, making it hard to look at.…

The change of conversation settled down Tom's thoughts as well, and it also helped that, with Lila speaking, he could sit, with beer glass at his lips, and eyes just barely visible over the rim, and listen, without having to utter a word. Which is exactly what he did for the few minutes until their meals arrived; his silence only broken by the occasional grunt of encouragement for her to continue, and forced laughs. Whether his wife had noted the tone that had accompanied his comment about hiking up her dress and fucking her on the table, the Detective wasn't certain, but he couldn't forget the images it had brought to mind. Simultaneously, he attempted to fight them, and keep the date as he'd intended it to be. A romantic dinner between a…

“You seem to have missed a lot of stuff. Do not worry, we have your coordinates. I will come down to you and pick you up. There is a lot to explain.” There sure was a lot to explain. All of the sudden, it hit me like a ton of bricks. Picking me up? My grandfather, who I thought was dead and who probably did still think that I was dead, was about to meet me? I jumped out of my chair, walking up and down through the tiny room. Johnny woke up because I made such a noise while panicking from one corner of the room to another. “I’m sorry, my dear”, I said, walking up to him and petting his…

Jack chooses to mock her realism by challenging her playfully. Although she still has a serious love for Jack, she is now jaded and aware of what difficulties lay ahead. Another example would be when she is interrupted by a skeptical comment from the older man she continues, "Little Jack is hungry for his supper." Jack laughs as she draws to a close, "My nipples are a little sore from nursing Eliza Rosamund." Stirring traces of sight, smell, sound, and touch, all feed into her introspective outlook, but strangely.…
