Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of RHITs is expected to grow by 21% between 2010 and 2020, which is considered faster than the average for all occupations. This is due in part to the aging of the U.S. population, which is increasing demand for all types of medical services. The emergence of electronic health records is also creating new opportunities for RHITs with strong computer skills. The increasing use of electronic health records (EHRs) will continue to change the job responsibilities of health information technicians. Federal legislation provides incentives for physicians’ offices and hospitals to implement EHR systems into their practice. This will lead to continued adoption of this software in these facilities. Technicians will need to be familiar with, or be able to learn, EHR computer software, follow EHR security and privacy practices, and analyze electronic data to improve healthcare information as more healthcare providers and hospitals adopt EHR…

The bill I’m proposing would involve using Texas public funding to support two-year colleges and four-year universities through a 10% tax increase program each year called The College Help Tax. College tuition, today is up to $7,000 a semester and continues to raise every year. Through this tax program, it would be of assistance for all Texas residents to use to attend college. There would be no restrictions so every Texas citizen would be able to receive a college degree without the massive price tag.…

Many health care facilities have a hard time keeping up with claims and payments in medical records. Some facilities hire people just to handle these tasks. If not properly monitored, it can cause problems in patients’ accounts. Health care facilities use electronic medical records to improve profitability while reducing the time it takes to submit and receive payment for claims. Many of the facilities purchase software with billing and claims. Some of the advantages of using the EMR system is that they can improve patient care. There is less potential for medical errors as well as improved quality and safety in patient care. Another advantage is that it allows more time to spend with patients Physicians and nurses have more time to spend with patients rather than wasting entirely too much of valuable time searching for, waiting for, and correcting information EMRs create more time for the work we are trained to do. Currently, as healthcare professionals, we spend as much time performing administrative tasks as we do caring for our patients. Some of the disadvantages are the expensive start-up costs and the costs of training that is involved. Another disadvantage is that there are many EMR systems and many facilities may use a different system other than the patient’s primary care facility, and those records may not be available to at the time of the patient’s visit. An example of a challenged faced when implementing a universal EMR system is choosing a proper systematic approach to the identity problem and training health care personnel to work with a paperless…

That statement basically means, no matter where you come from, you have to be willing to put your best foot forward in order to succeed. I can relate to that statement very well because I was born outside of the United States. I understood the struggles that I would have to face while growing up because many doors that are open to everyone else are restricted from me just because I am not a citizen. I have made various contributions and put in a lot of hard work these past 20 years of living here. Even with DACA, I am still unable to apply for Federal Aid but that does not hold me back from reaching a higher education. This is the reason why I work so hard and started to build my credit in order to build a better future for myself. I often…

I am appealing my financial aid suspension because of difficulty completing my courses. Last semester was my third at KU. I believe that my lack of focus due to having an unannounced 4 year old daughter I just discovered in October of last year and my grandma died soon after. My past records show I have met the Satisfactory Academic Progress I just had a bad semester due to personal issues. Personal issues of this sort are very rare that’s why I feel I should be given another shot at my financial aid. I feel it’s a privilege to even have it since everyone is not able to get it. Without financial aid I would not be able finish my career of running or my educational success at The University of Kansas.…
In efforts to reform the United States healthcare system and create a nationally unified data exchange system the federal government has established an incentive program to eligible professionals and hospitals. The federal government has turned to certified electronic health record (EHR) technology to help facilitate the process of broadening health IT infrastructures. The federal government views EHR system used in meaningful ways as the key to reforming the healthcare systems. Meaningful use of the EHR systems can also improve the overall quality of healthcare, insure patient safety, as well as reduce the cost of healthcare to individuals (Bigalke & Morris, 2010, p. 116).…
In today’s Society the cost to earn a college education has increased over the years. With the competition and job market parents are stressing the importance of college with their children. Even though this underlying factor may have been stressed at the early stages of development, many may have chosen to have ignored it and taken the easy way out. Who will aid with funding State or Federal Government?…
