What my plan is for my academic and career future is to keep going to college each day, studying very hard, making sure that I turn in all the assignments that I need to before it gets to late, for my career future I think that I should do what is asked of me at all times and make sure that I get all of my projects done in time so that way I do not get in to trouble. When I complete my higher education and get my degree then it will help me find a job that I want, make enough money to take care of my family, pay all of my bills, get out of debt, and make sure that my daughter is well taken care of and gets everything that she wants in life, I will also be setting up a trust fund for my daughter which she will be able to receive it by the age of eighteen.

What I have learned in the week that I was learning about collaborative learning environments is that we collaborate everyday rather if it is with peers, faculty, friends, family, or anyone. What collaborative is, it is a form of collaboration and what that is, is when you are talking in a group setting or a presenting something you consistently collaborate. Collaborative learning is multiple ways of learning and doing things and it can be reading out loud in a meeting for a presentation or in a classroom talking and debating.

In the beginning of my freshman year in high school I have always been into JROTC, which led me to understand others and be a well-communicating person. It all started four years ago when I joined JROTC. I wanted to see how it worked and how it was beneficial to me. I must admit it was difficult in the beginning with being shy and not knowing what exactly I got myself into but that quickly changed once I started going to parades and football games.…

I have learned much in my 11 years in California public school. I learned to write in cursive; I learned my times tables; I learned the equation for a line, and I learned a thing or two about Shakespeare. However, the most important thing I learned is that is that the Common Core doesn’t work. The Common Core Standards Initiative is an approach to keep all American students on the same page. The problem is that it keeps all of us on page 1. In my AP Calculus BC class, my 13 classmates and I are piloting a Common Core textbook. At first, everyone was excited to try something new, but now we groan at the sight of the textbook. While I passed the AP test for the first year of Calculus, it has been a challenge “reviewing” these concepts in the new style. Why change a system that was proven to be successful? California, one of the last states to implement Common Core, actually made a change for the worse. Therefore, I strongly believe that the 28th amendment to the Constitution should be the nationwide abolishment of Common Core.…

July 1993, Lexington, Kentucky. A woman gives birth to a beautiful baby girl with seven holes in her heart; thus began 19 years of visits to an esteemed cardiologist. Extremely worried, her parents inquired regarding their daughter's future, alleviating their worries, the doctor's advice to them was to be diligent and "treat her as you would a normal child." Knowing I have been different did not stop me from participating fully in life, especially during my childhood. In December 2012, we received the wonderful news that the final hole had closed. The odds were in my favor since I have been lucky to have never needed surgery, nor required hospital care from a critical injury. I believe that there is a reason I exist on this earth; and my blueprint…

Professional learning needs were identified by my Course Learning Team at the end of the 2015-16 school year for several reasons. Because our district was moving to a one-to-one computing learning environment in 2018-2019, we wanted to acclimate students to using Google Suites to complete and submit work as well as learning tools and teaching strategies that would increase student comprehension and learning experiences using these devices. We also looked at PLAN score data to look at current students’ strengths and areas in which they may need additional support. On average, we noted that students had higher scores in reading than English, which meant, we wanted to increase the frequency with which students wrote, practice writing for a variety…

I consider the long-term results and the value of completing a degree in higher education to be one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. The long term results of receiving a higher education is creating a career, maintaining financial stability, and the ability to use what I learned in college in day-to-day activity. The value of completing a degree in higher education contains short-term and long-term values. The short-term values are the job skills that I receive, having improved communication skills, to maintain critical thinking skills, ability to have problem solving skills, to evaluate solutions, general knowledge, and one that I find to be important, broadening my prospective. The long-term values of receiving a degree in higher education are getting the qualifications needed for a career, the increasing salary, improving job conditions, ability to set examples for my children, and most important, becoming proud of the accomplishment that I have made for myself.…
