1. Why do you want to be a member of the Student Academy Leadership Team?
I would like to be a member of the Student Academy Leadership team because I think I’d make a good head boy and I’d do everything I can to make a difference to the academy and improve anything that needs to be improved. I am only in year 7 meaning I’m not too familiar with the Academy but so far I love it. I think our school is outstanding and it’s an honour to be able to attend the Acaemy as a student. I believe I have the skills and the ability to make a different to the Academy to make it a better place for us kids to enjoy learning and be able to transform our learning, transform our lives and to transform our community. I think I am polite most of the time, prepared for my learning and productive in lessons. These are some of the good qualities I have in being a good leader. I am also a good speaker and listener, I am very open to share ideas and listen to any ideas from my fellow classmates. Though I am not perfect and there are times where I talk in class, I do try to be the best student I can, and help any students in need of help. I think if I get the amazing opportunity to be a student leader, I will put 100% effort into it.
2. What have you done previously in or out of the academy that gives you some experience of helping or leading others?

Even though it was only for a week I’d say I learnt things from it. I think I learnt more about responsibility and what I have to do as a leader to lead the students the right way. I was also part of a football club outside of school near my local park ‘Canterbury Park’; I trained and had a good time with my friends. Also at one point in primary school we had to raise money for a charity, we grew daffodils, we had to
