Introduction Learning styles are habitual patterns where students and individuals can enable a person to be able to acquire and process information in any education and learning situation and environment (Brown 2000). Each and every student has a unique and different learning style which can enable the student to fit best in the classroom (Honey & Mumford 2006). The main aim of this research is to identify the responses of students towards learning styles (Jackson et al. 2008). Research has shown that many students have a learning style, which is preferred like the visual, where the student learns through seeing; auditory style where the student learns through hearing, and kinaesthetic where the student learns by doing things (Ellis & Fouts 1997). It is possible for student to have a combination of two or more learning styles. Moreover, the kinaesthetic learning styles are the commonly used learning styles mostly associated with accelerating the learning process and are mainly used in primary and secondary schools throughout (Grasha 1996).
Method
The study involved the use of quantitative data, which was got from questionnaire responses from all the participants into the study which represented the attitudes and perception on the different learning styles. The data, which was used in this study, is as a result of a survey on university students. The main purpose of this study is to be able to identify all the determining factors which affect the responses of students when it comes to learning styles.
Participants
The data was collected from 70 students from several nationalities which included Kurdish, British, European, Asian, and a group of other minor nationalities. About 47,1% of the men participated in the survey with the rest of the percentage, which is 52,9% represented the females. All the participants who
