Study skills refers to methods applied to learning and are considered essential to acquiring good academic standing. These methods include using library resources, acquiring good study spaces, reading for details, etc.

Thinking skills, on the other hand, makes use of cognitive abilities to make meaning from, solving problems, finding, analyzing, synthesizing and evaluating information. To be able to get A's and B's in my assignments I have to think carefully and put as much information in them as I can. I need to explain my assignment out really clearly for getting high grades. You need to be fair minded and know what you need to say clearly to get good grades. To get my L's I need to drive out of the needed criteria and possibly get more experience that way.
